Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
Looking through the collapsed roof of a cathedral sea cave onto a secluded beach, near Praia de Boião, Algarve, Portugal.
The remains of the roof still litters the beach. The Algarve is famous for its beautiful coastline with spectacular cliffs, stacks and cave formations. The rocks glow beautifully when the sun is at a low angle. My vertigo was well and truly triggered looking through this rocky portal into the glorious secluded beach below. It won't be long before the narrow ledge I stood on will become part of the beach too!
